Wineshet’s journey is one of quiet strength, resilience, and deep love. Raised by her grandmother, she grew up without knowing the warmth of a mother’s embrace or the identity of her father. Life never came easy for her; it was a path filled with struggle, sacrifice, and moments of heartbreak. But through it all, she never gave up.
Today, Wineshet is a devoted mother of three. She carries the weight of motherhood with pride, but also with sorrow. Her greatest pain stems from not being able to give her firstborn the opportunities she dreamed of a better home, better education, and a better life. Despite this, she describes her child with tears in her eyes: “He is humble, kind, and far beyond his years in understanding. He never complains, even when he has every reason to.” Like so many Ethiopian mothers, Wineshet’s love for her children knows no bounds. But what sets her apart is her courage to say, “My love is not enough. I must do more. I will do more.”
And Wineshet is one of the most determined women you will ever meet. She works tirelessly not just to survive, but to grow, to transform, and to give her children a future brighter than her past. Through the support of Tabitha Reach, Wineshet found more than a lifeline she found herself. “Tabitha helped me see my potential. It gave me the courage to dream again. It taught me how to save, how to believe, and how to rise.” The changes in her life, as she says, are “immeasurable.” From a place of hopelessness, she is now walking a path of purpose. And every step forward is a victory not just for her, but for her children, and for every woman who dares to believe that her story isn’t over.
