Strengthening Vocational Training Through New Partnership

Ethiopia

The partnership expands access to quality, market-relevant vocational training, supporting mothers to build sustainable livelihoods and long-term economic independence.

Tabitha Reach has established a new partnership with Sister Yemisrach TVET as part of a strategic transformation of its economic empowerment program, shifting from in-house vocational training to externally delivered, certified training programs.

This change was introduced to ensure that mothers supported by Tabitha Reach receive higher-quality instruction, nationally recognized certification, and improved access to employment opportunities. By partnering with established vocational training centers such as Sister Yemisrach TVET, Tabitha Reach aims to provide mothers with a well-deserved opportunity to take the next chapter of their lives with confidence, dignity, and market-ready skills.

Through this collaboration, mothers enrolled in Tabitha Reach programs will receive professional, skills-based training delivered by experienced instructors within a structured institutional environment. Upon completion, participants will be certified and supported through job placement and employment pathways facilitated by the vocational training center, strengthening their transition from training to sustainable income.

The partnership underscores Tabitha Reach’s commitment to continuous improvement and impact-driven programming. While in-house training played an important role in the organization’s earlier work, this shift responds to lessons learned and the evolving needs of mothers seeking long-term economic stability.

Tabitha Reach expresses its deep appreciation to Sr. Yemisrach Gezahegne for her leadership, generosity, and shared vision for empowering women through education and opportunity. Together, this partnership represents a meaningful step toward building lasting livelihoods and transforming futures for mothers and their families.
